It’s easier than ever to get to Peche Island now that the City of Windsor has launched its boat shuttle service. Trips run from Lakeview Marina Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays until October. You can see here some of the natural wonders awaiting you once you take the short ride to the island. Peche Island is a refuge for endangered species with pockets of calm water in the river and wetlands with submerged vegetation beds. Restoration is underway to help protect it with small islands to stop erosion and provide a habitat for key species. #YQG | City of Windsor - Municipal Government
