French actor and singer Brigitte Bardot has died aged 91. Bardot was best known for being a figurehead of the sexual revolution of cinema during the 1960s. She eventually stepped away from the big screen and turned to animal rights campaigning, starting her own foundation. French President Macron has paid tribute, describing her as a ‘legend of the century’.
